The project consisted of the redevelopment and expansion of the Place des Arts building, including the transformation of the main entrance, the addition of a marquise surmounted by steps and a skylight, the redevelopment of the public hall to accommodate cultural activities, the redevelopment of the entrance to the Wilfrid-Pelletier, Maisonneuve, Jean-Duceppe, Studio-Theater and Fifth rooms, the relocation of the ticket office and the integration of an access ramp. A wine bar, washrooms, a technical control area, lodges and an exhibition area were created as well.

The works also included the addition of a skylight covering the work of Pierre Granche and its integration into outdoor spaces, as well as the asbestos removal and demolition work on the structure of the building, the rehabilitation of the tunnel connecting the Place des Arts to the Complexe Desjardins and the modification of the esplanade basin.
