Marie-Clarac Hospital - Construction of the pavilion Palliative Care UnitPublished in Health
The Sisters of Charity of St Mary, were awarded a recurrent budget for 185 beds for their Marie-Clarac Hospital; hence the construction of a palliative care unit. TEQ's mandate is for project management services and construction management from the stage of cost control with preliminary plans, and following through the entire project process, validating the budget and the schedule at each step of advancement of the plans and specs for construction. The project will be executed in phases. The first phase is the excavation and building of the foundation. The project will include 2 underground levels with an underground parking lot and a clinic as well as a new entrance at the first level on Gouin boulevard. The second phase will be the construction of a 3 storey building with 11,000m2 surface area to hold 30 patient rooms on levels 2 and 3 with, on ground level, administrative offices and a reception area. A small garden will also be created.
