Maisonneuve-Rosemont HospitalPublished in Health, Projects
The project consists in the demolition and complete reconstruction of the hospital emergency facility for 57 beds as well as the construction of a 4-floor extension between two existing pavilions which remain in operation. The works include the construction of the mechanical and electrical rooms at the underground level accessible via a descending ramp, the offices and locker-rooms at the ground level and the extension of the emergency unit at Level 2. An empty shell is built at Level 3 for future use. Several smaller works have been carried out in occupied zones in order to make the building compliant to the new seismic protection norms. The total surface covered by the project totals 11,960 sq.m (128,690 sq.ft).
