Site Superintendent

The Superintendent ensures the good execution of site work and daily site supervision.  The candidate is responsible for site start-up, work progress and closing of the site.  Depending of the size of the project, the candidate will be assisted by a foreman.

Main tasks:

  • Call first site meeting with Project manager and subcontractors
  • Ensure subcontractors execute all work obligations according to the terms of contract
  • Coordinate site activities for employees and subcontractors
  • Prepare site reports
  • Fill out control of execution forms
  • Inform Project Manager of work progress and, if necessary, adjustments to the schedule
  • Inspect materials delivered to the site
  • Correct all the deficiencies necessary to attain substantial completion of work and definitive completion
  • Responsible for workplace safety
  • Collaborate with workplace safety agents, when present
  • Other related tasks

Education and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as site super for building construction in commercial, industrial and institutional sectors (value of 1 million dollars and over)
  • High school diploma
