Director of Human Resources

Under the supervision of the CEO, the Director of Human Resources is part of the Management Committee.  In this role, the candidate will plan, organise and manage all activities related to Human Resources and will put in place all relevant strategies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage and train personnel
  • Evaluate needs and supervise recruitment procedures, integration and training of personnel
  • Recruitment of resources for construction sites
  • Ensure quality of labor relations and be spokesperson at negotiating table with unions in provinces where required
  • Supply needed expertise in medical issues and workplace Safety and Security


  • Essential: 10 years of experience in a similar position
  • Important: experience in unionized construction milieu
  • Essential: B.A. in Management of Human Resources
  •  Member of professional Order

Aptitudes and knowledge:

  • Essential: Bilingual English and French, both spoken and written
  • Plus: Italian, spoken and written
  • Essential: Knowledge of recruitment in regional and northern areas
  • Important: Knowledge of work Safety and Security in the construction industry
  • Important: Competent in Microsoft Offices
  • Essential: Able to prioritise and deal with emergencies
  • Essential: Teamwork in the context of a multinational enterprise
  • Important: Negotiating working conditions and remuneration
